In one click you can make thousands feel the power you possess in hand. What am I talking about ? You guess it. The power of Internet Marketing.

Since the first day I started, I was astounded at the potential power at my fingertips. The Internet has provided us with a means of communication unparelleled. What you do with that power is essential to your success.

Many will use such power to obtain wealth and fame by unscrupulous means. They are the ones who will fade away faster than spit on a Arizona road.

The thrivers are those who have a vision other than just making money. They make people lives better. You have to give to receive. It is one of Nature’s laws. I learned that the hard way.

Our dreams and aspirations can all be achieve. But before that comes we all need to work on our attitudes and mindset.

Ask any of the ‘gurus’ and they will tell you it is essential for success. And remember the Golden Rule : Give to Receive. You will not regret it.

You have amazing power at your disposal. What you use it to do depends on you. Question yourself seriously. Only you would know.

Every business needs a low cost way to reach targeted customers.

Email marketing is by far one of the most effective and inexpensive
methods of advertising available to you.

The benefits:

1.	Direct communication with prospects and existing customers

2.	Plenty of room for your message. Your space isn’t limited when you can send to your own list

3.	Facilitates testing and tracking. You can experiment with new approaches to boosting conversion rates on a pre-targeted group.

Not only is email marketing very low cost (it’s virtually free once
your sales meet your overhead expenses), it is also a super fast way
to rake in profits and test new products.

Imagine having your own database of prospects. The results of your
marketing efforts are doubled when you’ve captured these prospects.
The bulk of long-term business profits come from repeat sales and
repeat customers. The only way to acquire a repeat customer is to
stay in contact with him.

Constant communication is your ticket to building trust and credibility.
A new customer always feels hesitation when engaging in a relationship
with an unknown business. Yet, if you communicate with that customer
on a consistent basis, you soon overcome their reservations about doing
business with you. You come to know each other and build a bond of
familiarity.

If you’re ever in doubt about the value of list building, ask yourself
this question: “What would I rather do? Spend all of my resources seeking
out one-time customers over and over again, or build a relationship with
a large pool of existing customers who trust me and are responsive
to my offers?”

Yes, if you use email correctly, it’s a laser gun. If not, it’s just a toothpick to be ignored.

If you design kitchens, is another kitchen designer your competition? Most likely not. And the sooner you can position and modify your marketing strategy against your real competition, the sooner you will start to see more business come through the door. So Who Really Is Your Competition?
The answer to that is always–Never the most obvious. So let’s take the example of the kitchen designer. Having decided that another kitchen designer isn’t his competition, he now has to decide who is his real competition.

His Real Competition Could Be A Car Salesman

Is this for real? How can a car salesman be a kitchen designer’s competition? Let’s analyse this more carefully. A kitchen and a car are both fighting for the same thing– The householder’s limited budget.

If the kitchen designer, were able to convince a couple that a kitchen is more important than a new car (which he could easily do if there was a foodie around), he now has a better chance of them dropping the car in favour of the kitchen.

The Advantage Of This Method Of Positioning

The most obvious advantage is that you’re not losing any current customers. All your past advertising is bringing in the customers that are looking for kitchens anyway.

What it does do however, is bring in a new lot of customers that would never have thought about kitchens, if you hadn’t implanted it in their minds. Effectively, you have both, customers who are looking for kitchens as well as customers who are forfeiting their new cars in favour of new kitchens.

How Your Re-Positioning Can Help You Focus

We had a client who ran a laundromat. Her current customers were people who did not have washing machines. Obviously, her business went up and down based on the season and on her customers limited budget. We got her to refocus her marketing strategy on a new target– Customers who had washing machines.

These customers had the money, but no time. By deciding that her real competition was time she decided to target people who had limited time instead.

As a result, she was now targeting busy people while other laundromats were targeting people with washing. This positioning actually helped the laundromat stand out from the rest of the competition.

How The Laundromat Did A Full 180

This re-positioning did a couple of things for them. One, it helped them focus on their target audience. Consequently, they changed their name from just XYZ Laundromat to Bizzie Buggers.

It was catchy and bang on target. It also now meant that busy customers (with the money), were more likely to stop over and drop their washing. Plus they had the regular customers walking through the door anyway.

What You Need To Do

Sit down and write who your immediate competition could be. Then write down what your business is really up against. Here are some examples.

These aren’t necessarily your right targets but they help you see things in a different light and help you determine who your real competition could possibly be.

Cartoonist= Photographer
Computer Salesman= Filing Cabinet
Car Dealer= Expensive Restaurant Meals

Just because you can communicate with hundreds of people virtually via email, doesn’t mean you should. The phone still exists because it’s a valuable tool — especially for small business owners.

Over and over again in the places I frequent on the Internet, I hear calls for help from small business owners for different services. One needs promotional items, another needs an accountant, yet another needs some other type of service — you’ve probably heard it too.

And time and again I see people responding to those calls for help with a casual attitude via email. They’re trying their best to make that connection using a method that has no emotion and plenty of personal detachment.

Don’t make the same mistake. Email is fine as a medium for communication but lacks a lot in helping you acquire a new client. There’s just something about connecting with a real live person that can take you a long way to success.

Make that phone call!!!

If you are serious about adding email to your marketing mix, you should take email seriously enough to develop a plan for it. Too many organizations launch a half-baked email program and then are disappointed when it doesn’t live up to expectations.

The plan does not have to be as long as War And Peace, but it must include a few key elements so that you can develop a focused, targeted, measurable program that gets results. At a minimum, here are the elements that Hoover ink recommends:

* Objectives

* Audience Definition

* Key Messages

* Format

* Tactics

* Timeline

* Budget

* Measurement

First, determine what is it that you want the email program to achieve from marketing and communications perspectives. Is this a newsletter designed for relationship management purposes, or is it a sales-oriented vehicle? Are you trying to build awareness, generate leads, increase web traffic, encourage loyalty, or close sales?

Next, you need to define audiences. Who are you trying to reach? What do you know about them from demographic and psychographic perspectives? Are you addressing multiple audiences? If so, do you need to segment your audiences and develop emails with different messages? How will each audience profit from our communications.

Now, what is it you want to say to each audience? What’s the nature of the content? Will this include just editorial information or will it also contain some sales-oriented material?

Closely tied to messages is your format. Are you producing a newsletter with a lot of editorial material, or does it contain just brief snippets of information? Is it an announcement list, a discussion list, or just commercial messages? Think about your audiences as you develop the most appropriate format.

Your tactics section lays out tasks and who is responsible for them. What technology do you need? Do you have in-house email capabilities or should you use an application such as nTarget? How will you build and manage your list? How will you acquire new subscribers? Who will create content, design and distribute the email?

After you answer those questions, it’s time to turn to your timeline. Develop a schedule for having your technology in place, building your list, creating content, designing and distributing the email. Determine if this will be a one-time mailing, or if it will recur on a weekly or monthly basis.

Your budget may help you answer many of the questions above. Small budgets may mean you complete a lot of the work in-house.

Finally, it’s time to establish criteria for measuring the program. An awareness program may call for some baseline research so you’ll know how you are doing. A relationship management program may measure customer retention. Increased click-through from your email to your website is also a measurable element. Sales-oriented programs might measure total sales from email, or incremental sales increases with individual customers.

No matter what your objective in using email, spend a little time cooking up a plan so your results won’t be half-baked.

Before the advent of email most of us, other than sending out cards for special occasions, would write very few letters. If we did write a letter, it was carefully prepared, and considerable thought went into it. Today, with computer access available to most people, we have tremendously increased our amount of written communication, and sometimes fall into a trap. There are seven words that will serve as our guide and help us to communicate more effectively.

Perhaps the first word to consider is “Brevity” - we receive and respond to more mail each day, than we would in a year, before the advent of the Internet. As we became experienced with email, we found certain shortcuts that we would never use in “pen and ink” communications.

Many people simply copy the entire note to which they are responding, and make their comments. Others might lift a pertinent paragraph and respond. This is acceptable practice. Let’s face it - unless you are socializing with a friend, if someone asks a question, they want an answer, and don’t really care if you had rain last night. But, you can be too brief in your replies. I get email all the time, and don’t have a clue as to what they’re referring to.

Criticism, whether perceived or real is probably next on the list. Some people write with a negative style, and while they are truly not being critical, their wording comes across that way. If you are making a suggestion to someone, or reporting a problem, if you expect positive results, be sure to couch your note in positive terms.

Patience - I had a person write me 4 times in one day about a perceived problem. Now, most of us are not sitting at the computer 24 hours a day just waiting to receive email. A person must be given ample time to respond. This may take a day or so, or even longer. When I didn’t “immediately” respond, the notes got nastier and nastier. If you act this way, you may be simply written off as a “crank” or a “pain in the neck”, and never get an answer. Patience pays - and if you do send a reminder, be civil.

Audience - since the web is truly world wide, remember that you may be speaking with a person limited in your primary language.
While you don’t want to appear condescending, your email should be written in short, concise sentences that are easy to understand. Words that have several meanings such as wound, produce or refuse should be avoided.

Morality is always a big issue. What may be acceptable to one person may not be to another. Never use language that is even border line. Many people think that if someone uses words that are not acceptable in “polite” society, you might not know how to express yourself any other way, and be considered ignorant.

Never use a “double entendre”. We had a police chief of a neighboring town use the term “guido” in an internal memo to his staff. To many, the term “bennie” or “guido” simply means a summer resident. But this term was highly offensive to the Italian American community, and he quickly learned to choose his words more carefully.

Sarcasm - this is always a double-edged sword. While something may be said with the best of intentions, another may interpret it the wrong way. Your best bet is to avoid it. While on the subject, the use of humor has to be done very carefully. What may be extremely funny to you, could be extremely offensive to someone else.

Spam - most people get a number of emails every day, and much of it is unsolicited commercial email, which is immediately deleted.
Always title your note so it doesn’t blend in with all the other junk they receive. The spamsters are becoming more creative in this regard however, so you should probably try to give this a little extra attention.

There are of course many other things, which should be avoided, such as spelling mistakes, punctuation errors, and the use of ALL CAPS. Try to couch your communications so you are not guilty of making these basic mistakes. This is especially true if your email is going to multiple people. The anonymity of the web doesn’t always allow us the luxury we enjoyed when all we wrote was with “pen and ink” and knew exactly who would be reading it.

The nature doesn’t believe in similarity. It creates every human being with a unique quality or feature. Even twins are different to each other in many ways. We need to identify our unique quality and develop it further to outshine others. Here we become superior to others. Therefore inferiority complex is irrational. If you have one unique quality that is superior to others how can you be inferior? In spite of this truth many persons suffer from the misery of inferiority complex.

The Biggest Hurdle

Mostly persons develop inferiority complex when they are obsessed with their weaknesses. They always keep thinking that others are superior to them. They often get nervous while talking to others - especially if the opposite person is talking confidently. It is difficult for them to appear before an interview board. They perspire, their mind gets clouded and speaking normally becomes a herculean task for them. Inferiority complex becomes their biggest hurdle on the way to success or progress. Fortunately they can get rid of this problem easily.

What is Your Unique Quality

Write down your good qualities or plus points on a paper. Spare some time to think about the quality or ability that is better than others. And try to develop that quality as much as you can.

If you have your own views on several matters and you like to write then start writing. Maintain a diary or register for it and write daily. You can also write in the file created in your computer. You can try to get some of your creations printed in newspapers or magazines. If your voice is sweet you can impress others by polite talk. You can also learn singing. You may even learn to play on any musical instrument in case you have a desire. If you are good at making drawing or painting then shine this ability by adequate training and practice. Join an art and painting school. If you have interest in computer then learn it by joining an academy. If you love solving the sums then aim to become master of mathematics. People will definitely recognize your talent and you will be admired. It will also help you to make a good career in the field of your interest.

Miraculous Effect On Personality

It is rule of the nature that every one has something unique in him or her. When you improve its strength by regular study and practice a feeling will develop in your heart that you are better than so many other persons at least in one field. You can’t even imagine at present the miraculous effect it will have on your personality. You will start gaining confidence and gradually become free from inferiority complex. Your negative thinking about yourself built this complex and the strength of your unique trait will dismantle it.

Use Affirmation

According to Norman Vincent Peale, one of the greatest motivators and advocates of positive thinking in America, affirmations have immense power over our personality. We can also use them to weaken the grip of inferiority complex. Here is a good affirmation to help you to gain confidence and come out of the clutches of inferiority complex: “I am a unique creation of God. I have many good qualities. I love myself. My positive mind will help me to attain my aim in life” Repeat it 10 times before going to sleep and after getting up in the morning. Your inferiority complex will fly away from you in a short period.

In my e-mail one day, I received the following message:
“Hello, I am a subscriber to your ezine and received the
attached e-mail. Please advise if this is actually from
your website. Thank you.”

The attachment was from my mailing list program. It was
informing my dear subscriber that since her mail kept
bouncing, “I`m not going to try again; this message has
been in the queue too long.”

1. The Problem

Why was my newsletter bouncing? My mailing list
program reports receiving this message: “…The
information presently available to AOL indicates this
server is transmitting unsolicited e-mail to AOL. Based on
AOL`s Unsolicited Bulk E-mail policy at
http://www.aol.com/info/bulkemail.html AOL cannot accept
further e-mail transactions from this server. Please have
your ISP/ASP or server admin call AOL at 1-888-212-5537,
or visit http://postmaster.info.aol.com for more
information.”

Basically, I was being accused of sending unsolicited
commercial e-mail. This was a double opt-in subscriber.
I don`t do spam!

America Online, Inc. (AOL) had blocked my subscriber
from receiving the e-zine she requested. About fifteen
percent of my subscribers use an AOL e-mail address.
Not only am I adversely affected, but my AOL subscribers
are not getting their e-mails.

In contacting AOL sales and technical support, I found
myself against a brick wall. Although, I was repeatedly
offered a free trial to their service, they were unable
to help me regain my subscriber.

“Why don`t you contact your subscriber and have them
whitelist your e-mail address?” How? All I have
is her AOL e-mail address and everything I send to her
fails. Believe me, I`ve tried. (You could use
another e-mail address, I suppose, to trick AOL, but
why should you have to?)

Of course, they absolutely refused to remove the block
against me. (If you would like to learn more about AOL,
try the search terms “AOL” and “AOL sucks” in a major
search engine.)

By the way, it isn`t just AOL that is doing this. Some
other major Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are doing
the same thing. As well, some popular e-mail software
programs also filter out wanted e-mails.

2. Some Solutions

If your subscribers are not receiving your newsletter,
here are some things you can do to alleviate the problem.

1. Warn your subscribers. On your newsletter signup
page, explain why they might not receive your e-zine.
Explain about e-mail filters; ask them to whitelist your
domain, not only to bypass the ISP spam filters but also
to allow mail through any e-mail software they may have.

2. Try to avoid using words that trigger spam filters.
Personally, I don`t like this one; it smacks of violating
my right to free speech, freedom of the press, et cetera.
(Yes, I know. With rights come responsibilities. However,
I am acting responsibly!) As a practical matter, though,
it`s something you have to consider. (I had my newsletter
checked by a popular spam checker and it passed with flying
colours.)

3. Send a text e-mail informing your subscribers that
the current issue of your newsletter is available
online at your website. (It could also be a good move
to have an archive of past issues there, too, to boost
your content and search engine rankings).

4. Consider using alternative ways of communicating.
For example, you might try Really Simple Syndication (RSS).

Oh, by the way, my replies (with read receipt requested)
to my dear subscriber`s e-mail address appear to never have
made it. To her I say: “If you`re out there somewhere,
please re-subscribe. You might want to think about using a
different e-mail address, though.”

One major asset that every internet or affiliate marketer needs is a big email list. There is a saying in the marketing world that states that “the money is in the list”. This is very true because the bigger the list, the greater the potential income. But a common concern amongst many people marketing online is:

“How can I grow a huge guru-type email list and how long will it take?”

What many of us know in the internet marketing world is that it can take a very long time to build a list of 10,000 subscribers. And building a list to this size is a lot more complicated than sending hundreds of visitors to your website. I currently have a website that averages over 500 visitors a day. Out of those 500 visits, I will be lucky to get at least 15 subscribers per day to my list. With these statistics it will take me about 2 years to build an email list to 10,000 subscribers.

So what can you do in order to get 10,000 subscribers very quickly?

Well, the focus of this article is to show you how to easily build a 50,000 subscriber opt in list in less than 90 days. What I am about to show you really works, and if you follow these steps precisely, you will see tremendous results.

Step 1: Get a Virus To Build Your List

In order for you to build a 50k opt in email list in 90 days, you need to spread your marketing message over the internet like a wild fire. The method that is best capable of doing this is known as viral marketing. Viral marketing, in its simplest meaning, is getting others to market your product or service for you and spreading it to others so that they can do the same also. I also call this wild fire marketing because as soon as your marketing message starts, it will be very difficult to stop it and to keep it from spreading across the internet like a wild forest fire. This is the type of response you want when you begin to grow your email list. And the only way for you to generate this type of response is to partner up with hundreds of other marketers that will help you promote your email list in return for something. This is known as joint venturing and it is one of the better strategies for building a huge email list. Located below is a free service that will help you combine the viral marketing component with the joint venture marketing component in order to rapidly grow your email opt in list.

=> http://www.workingonyourown.com/traffictool3.html

Step 2: Start Promoting Your Viral List Building Machine

The next step is to promote your viral list builder so that you generate a minimum of 50 partners and fellow subscribers. There are multiple ways of promoting your viral list tool, but the easiest way to do this is through ezine solo ads. I know from experience that sending solo ads is a sure way to jumpstart any internet business. Just one solo ad mailing to a good newsletter or ezine can easily generate up to 85 partners and fellow subscribers that will help you promote your email list. Listed below is a series of ezines that provide excellent results every time I use them.

1.) http://www.probiztips.com/advertising.html

2.) http://directprofit.net

3.) http://ultimatetrafficsystem.com/advertise.php

4.) http://www.superpromo.com/optadorder.html

5.) http://www.theaffiliatereview.com/advertising.php

6.) http://www.christiantimesnesletter.com/advertising/

7.) http://www.hitoverload.com/advertising.html

As soon as you receive your 50 partners that will help promote your email list for you, you will slowly begin to see your list virally grow on its own. But the growth that will be taking place is not rapid enough to generate the 50k subscribers in 90 days. You need to create tremendous momentum in the beginning in order to see rapid, exponential growth of your email list. This is where step 3 comes in.

Step 3: The KEY To It All

The last and final step for creating a large email list in a short amount of time is the most important step out of all the 3 steps. In this step, it is crucial that you motivate and train your partners/subscribers to do the very same things you are doing to build your email list. Out of all the people marketing on the internet, less than 3% of them know how to market properly and build a nice subscriber base. The key to getting around this problem is to show them the exact steps you took to promote your very own list. This is known as duplication. This concept is so powerful that it is the key for experiencing exponential growth with any online business. The reason why most online businesses fail is because they do not know how to train their partners to market effectively online. If you do this, you will gain the trust of your partners and you will grow your list exponentially.

Conclusion:

Building a 50,000 subscriber opt in email list can take a very long time if you do not know what you are doing. As revealed, you can actually generate a 50k email list in less than 90 days by following steps 1 - 3. Step 1 explains how you must build your list virally by allowing hundreds of other marketers to help you build your list. Step 2 shows you a very easy way to get your first 50 partners/subscribers to help you build your email list for you. This is done through solo email ads. The final and most critical step is to motivate and train your partners to actively do the very same steps you are doing to build your email list. If you follow these steps precisely, you will build a 50k subscriber email list in less than 3 months. So you should really start on this as soon as possible. Here is a free resource that will help you get started:
