Vivek Kundra Is on Mission to Spare Government Money when it Comes to Information Technology
It began as a way for the Obama administration to produce a new level of transparency. A way to provide American citizens with information and permit them to genuinely take part in the government deliberations like never before. Today Vivek Kundra, Federal CIO, employs Social Media and other technology to create and preserve an open dialog with the Nation with the belief that citizens are linked like never before and have the want to affect change.
Vivek Kundra is now enforcing his expertise for the important job of Federal Chief Information Officer. The expertise acquired during his time as Chief Technology Officer for Washington D.C. lends to the Gov 2.0 initiatives he is executing as part of the Obama Administration. He wishes the government Information Technology efforts applying private sector programs to be contributing factors to theefficient dissemination of information.
Vivek Kundra applies his Information Technology expertise to supervise Federal government funded technology investments. Before being assigned the first of the United States Government back in March 2009, Vivek Kundra was CTO for Washington D.C. and Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Technology for Virginia. He is well on the track to changing the national, and possibly international, position of how government interacts with its citizens.
