Shawls are very handy for all types of occasions as they’re painless to place in your shoulderbag if it gets too warm. The pashmina wool is a great insulator, so rather than wearing a large coat on a cool summer or spring evening, a pashmina shawl will serve as a convenient overgarment.
Shawls have now become very fashionable as a fashion accessory/apparel for bridesmaids. The last two summers in Britain have been pretty miserable, so perhaps this has encouraged this new fashion. Cream-coloured pashminas, as well as white and gold are trendy choices for wedding ceremonies, and look amazing if all the maids of honor have matching colour pashminas.
If you order a larger size pashmina shawl, it can also turn into a useful blanket for those long journeys. And of course, a shawl can become a scarf for wintertime too.
There are two choices of pashmina - the 100% pashmina shawl, and the 70% pashmina / 30% silk variety. The mixed pashmina you can purchase at lower cost than the 100% opposite number, but it’s less warm. It’s your choice as to what you want to use your pashmina shawl for. Is it purely a fashion accessory, and/or also a garment keep you warm too? I strongly recommend 100% pashminas to keep out the cold.
