Ronnie Lynn Deutch, founder of the Ronnie Deutch Tax firm, is notable for helping tax payers all over America deal with their debts as well as their IRS problems. In one of her blog posts, Ronnie Deutch talks about cosmetic surgery as well as the idea of imposing taxes on it.

According to the article she mentions in her blog, “Don’t Mess with Taxes,” taxing cosmetic surgery was passed as a suggestion to help pay for health care reform. As stated in the Drudge Report, the members of the Senate Finance Committee were able to touch on the topic of imposing a 10% excise tax on cosmetic surgery.

Although she really is not affected with the proposed tax, Ronnie Lynn Deutch still does not think it is a good idea. There are a few certain reasons why the tax lady refuses to agree with the proposition.

One thing is that, imposing tax on these cosmetic surgeries singles out a particular group of taxpayers, who are accustomed to foot these medical bills on their own seeing that the tax law does not count these cosmetic surgery costs as deductible expenses. In addition, the proposition also allows people to assume that those who go through several cosmetic surgeries are wealthy, which, as we all should know, is not true.
