A birthday gift should be carefully chosen and you could add to it a bouquet of flowers. There is a long history of giving flowers as gift. Different flowers have acquired different symbols and each of them represents something different. Roses, Orchids, Gladiola, Asters, Gerberas and a lot of other flowers can be used for the occasion. It depends upon whose birthday you are celebrating. If it is your spouse, you are always safe with roses. If you are celebrating a birthday of an elderly person, then Orchids would go well with the occasion. In case of a small kid or a baby whom you dearly love, you must give him some indulgence by arranging a bouquet of flowers consisting of bright colours and adorned with beautiful balloons. Or you can arrange for a toy, say a pick-up truck or a van which will have small animals or balloons so that when the flowers fade the child could use the pick-up truck or animals as play things.
